STEP Past Papers And STEP Solutions

The STEP Past Papers Database is a fully searchable table containing every STEP 2 and STEP 3 paper from 1998 to 2024. Each row includes the relevant STEP paper along with a direct link to the corresponding STEP solutions, official mark scheme and examiner’s report (where available).

This database is perfect when you want to select a complete STEP paper to use as a timed mock or broader revision. For more targeted practice and topic-based study, the STEP Questions by Topic database is even more effective: it organises every STEP question from 1998–2024 by topic and includes links to solutions, mark schemes and examiner’s comments.

You can sort by STEP Paper and Year using the drop down menu in the header.

Struggling with the complexity of STEP Questions? Work through the foundation modules on the STEP Support Programme or go to my STEP Tuition page to find out how one-to-one personalised STEP tuition could help develop your mathematical reasoning, advanced problem-solving skills and written clarity in your exam answers.

If you’re aiming for top STEP grades, don’t rely on full past papers alone. While they’re essential for building exam technique, the most effective preparation comes from first mastering each topic individually. The STEP Questions Database organises every past question by syllabus area (e.g. calculus, proof, collisions, and more across Pure, Mechanics, and Statistics), so you can target specific skills, recognise patterns, and learn the common tricks that STEP repeatedly tests. Once you’ve built confidence topic by topic, you’ll find full papers far more manageable—and you’ll perform at a much higher level.
