I understand that unforeseen circumstances, such as illness or emergencies, can sometimes prevent students from attending their scheduled lessons. For this reason, I apply reasonable discretion when enforcing my cancellation policy. However, consistency is key to making meaningful progress, and frequent cancellations or no-shows can disrupt learning and lesson planning.
To ensure fairness and commitment, after the first no-show or an excessive number of short-notice cancellations, I will require payment in advance for future sessions. This ensures that the reserved time slot remains available for the student while also respecting my schedule and that of other learners.
No-Show and Late Attendance Policy
If a student does not attend a scheduled lesson, I will wait 10 minutes before leaving the online meeting. However, I remain available for the full reserved hour, and the student is welcome to join at any time during that period. In such cases, they should notify me as soon as possible so I can rejoin the session promptly.
Pre-Paid Lessons and Refunds
Once a lesson has been pre-paid, no refund will be issued in the event of a no-show. Prepayment ensures both commitment and accountability, helping students stay on track with their learning. If an unavoidable emergency arises, I encourage students or parents to reach out in advance where possible, so we can discuss a suitable solution.
I am committed to providing a flexible yet structured learning experience, and this policy helps maintain fairness for all students while ensuring a productive and reliable tuition schedule.
