Hi! My name is Nicole Taylor, and I am the creator of NextStepMaths.com. I am a Mathematics graduate from the University of Cambridge and a highly experienced online MAT tutor with over six years of professional tutoring experience.

Since 2019, I have had the privilege of helping hundreds of students from the UK and across the globe prepare for and excel in the MAT (Mathematics Admissions Test). My tailored approach focuses on building problem-solving skills, developing mathematical intuition, and mastering the techniques needed to tackle MAT questions confidently.

My one-to-one MAT tuition will help you master strategies to tackle these questions effectively, maximising your score and freeing up time for the longer, more complex problems later in the paper.

We’ll work through both the multiple-choice and long-answer sections in detail, developing your problem-solving techniques and building the confidence required to perform strongly on exam day.

After each session, you’ll receive organised lesson notes, and I’ll assign homework to reinforce your learning—because consistent practice outside of lessons is key to success.

 

Ongoing Support Beyond Lessons

My support doesn’t end when the lesson finishes. I’m available via WhatsApp or email to answer any questions you have between sessions, ensuring you feel fully supported throughout your MAT preparation.
