Hi! My name is Nicole Taylor, and I am the creator of NextStepMaths.com. I am a Mathematics graduate from the University of Cambridge and a highly experienced online maths tutor with many years of dedicated teaching expertise.
I specialise in University Admissions Test preparation, including STEP, MAT, and TMUA, as well as Interview Preparation for Oxbridge and other top universities. In addition, I provide expert tuition in A Level Maths and Further Maths, helping students build confidence, refine their skills, and achieve top grades.
Since 2019, I have had the privilege of helping hundreds of students—both in the UK and internationally—secure Oxbridge offers and excel in their admissions tests and A Level exams. My personalised approach ensures that each student receives tailored guidance, focusing on their unique strengths and areas for improvement, to help them reach their full potential.

A Little About Me and My Approach to Online Tuition
For several years, I have been professionally tutoring University Entrance Exams (STEP, MAT and TMUA), A Level Maths and Further Maths, as well as offering Maths Interview Preparation for Cambridge and other top universities. I have experience of exam marking; in 2022 I marked both the STEP 2 and STEP 3 Papers.
The enjoyment of helping students to achieve their academic goals and succeed is what motivates me to create the resources and content on this website. I graduated with a 2.1 in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge, completing one of the UK’s most challenging maths degrees.
With 4 A*s at A Level, 1,1 in STEP 2 and 3, and an 8.4 overall in TMUA (including a 9 in Paper 1), I understand what it takes to excel in exams and can help you achieve the same success.
